King's Furlong Infant School and Nursery

As part of our ongoing programme of school improvements, the Nursery toilets were refurbished over the half-term holiday. Because the original estimate to undertake the work was for more than 5 days, we had to take the difficult decision to close the Nursery for an extra week after half-term. In fact the work was finished more quickly than expected so we were able to invite the children back for Wednesday 4th November, 2009. This decision was, of course, made for the benefit of the children, so they could return to their normal Nursery routine at the earliest opportunity - and those who did return early were lucky enough to have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful performance by Martin the Puppet Man, which they would otherwise have missed.

The new toilets look super and the children have been very impressed with the new facilities! Among their comments were:

"I like the red doors. It's Sam's favourite colour"

"I like the sparkly bits"

"I like the toilets because I can sit on them properly now!"

We hope you can see from the pictures just how cheerful the new toilets look, and we look forward to seeing all the children back in Nursery on 9th November 2009.
